U16 Boys bring on the HEAT as Finalists in the Beach FC Columbus Day Tournament

The U16B HEAT played in their first Beach FC tournament on Columbus Day weekend.  Saturday started off under cloudy skies with a hard fought game tied 0-0 at the half against Chesterfield United.  HEAT fought back to win 2-0.

Rain set in before the second game and a tired and wet team set out to play Loudoun Soccer losing 0-4, putting HEAT in second place in Bracket #2.  This meant that the HEAT would advance to the semi-finals on Sunday against the first place team from Bracket #1 with the winner playing in the finals.

Sunday brought cool weather and sunny skies for the semi-final match against FYSA Force.  Heat won 2-0 to find themselves playing against Loudoun Soccer.   Both teams’ coaches agreed after the game that it was a hard fought match ending in a 1-2 loss placing HEAT as the Finalists, Loudoun as Champions.

Congratulations to the HEAT coached by Susan Murrell, Louis Stringer and Lucas Rizzo.  Great job guys - you wear that ODSC Blue proudly!!
